This gin has loads going on but no one thing is overpowering another, but seamlessly moves you from one thing to another leaving you with a satisfying sense of adventure through a wild garden, but so soft and smooth.
The 16 botanicals used are sourced from Kent, which includes local hops, elder-flower, lavender, rosehip and the unusual addition of samphire. Rootier botanicals include licorice, angelica and orris root which clearly underpins the structure of the gin.
Being 43% ABV, you would expect this to be more intense that it is, yet it is packed with flavours waiting to come out.
This gin can be tasted neat and is very smooth, but adding the tonic allows everything to come to the surface and express itself in a most wonderful way. This is a must try one-day gin Anno gin
